USDA Climate-Smart Grant

Iconoclast Industries will support farmers, primarily underserved, across multiple regions to implement climate-smart growing practices and technologies for industrial hemp.

Iconoclast Industries LLC, in partnership with the USDA, is investing in American farmers, researchers and entrepreneurs who are developing the industrial hemp and agricultural carbon supply chains.

Iconoclast Industries was awarded up to $15 million by the USDA from the Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities Grant to implement climate-smart practices for the industrial hemp market over five years. Iconoclast has been awarded the largest federal grant to a hemp company to-date, which funds the development of farming software to validate agricultural carbon sequestration. Iconoclast Industries will produce incentives for at least 6,950 acres for farming industrial hemp and overall development of the industrial hemp supply chain. The overall development from this program will create 50+ new jobs and yield over 30 million pounds of biomass and the potential to sequester over 200,000 tons of CO2.
